Jeff Tuttle, the rhythm guitarist for those mathematical metal monsters Dillinger Escape Plan, has left the band, according to both a pair of Facebook posts penned by both the band and Tuttle, and a personal blog post issued by frontman Greg Puciato. Tuttle was a member of DEP for nearly six years and is splitting to go back to school.

Guitarist Ben Weinman of experimental metal outfit the Dillinger Escape Plan has begun a side project with Mastodon singer-guitarist Brent Hinds, ex-Jane's Addiction bassist Eric Avery and ex-Mars Volta drummer Thomas Pridgen.
