The summer just got a whole lot louder with the kick off of the 2013 Rockstar Energy UPROAR Festival. The roving rock 'n’ roll spectacle, now in its fourth year, has quickly become one of the most anticipated tours of the summer for rock fans. This year’s trek rolled into the Comcast Theatre in Hartford, Conn., on Saturday, Aug. 10 for an all-day rock marathon.
Anyone that’s ever been to a Jane’s Addiction show knows that it transcends the basic concert experience. With Perry Farrell leading the charge, Jane’s Addiction mix their musical talents with the most innovative performance art morphing into a rock 'n’ roll carnival night after night. The band is set to unleash 'Live in NYC,' and Loudwire has an exclusive preview of the band's performance of the classic track 'Jane Says.'
Young rockers Aaralyn and Izzy from Murp have garnered the attention of Jane's Addiction's Dave Navarro, who recently commented on Twitter about their cover of 'Mountain Song.' For those not in the know, Murp are definitely being raised to love metal, as evidenced by three years' worth of YouTube clips. And there's no doubt that the singer and drummer definitely "metal up" this Jane's classic.
Bassist Eric Avery recently exited Nine Inch Nails after being named one of the band's new members earlier this year and the news caught the eye of Avery's onetime bandmate in Jane's Addiction -- guitarist Dave Navarro. During his online radio show 'Dark Matter,' the axeman used the platform to rail against Avery's recent move and past actions.
