2013 has been a great year for Killswitch Engage. It's the band's first full year with vocalist Jesse Leach back in the lineup, and with Leach, Killswitch released 'Disarm the Descent' and embarked on some awesome tours. To cap off the year, Killswitch Engage have been nominated for a 2014 Grammy, with Leach announcing his excitement in a press release.
Killswitch Engage vocalist Jesse Leach has had a busy year to say the least, most recently capped off with a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance ('In Due Time'). Metal may not get the wealth of recognition that other genres receive, but the big category that every metalhead music fan should be paying attention to is the Best Metal Performance category. It's bound to be one of the top tours of the fall, as Lamb of God and Killswitch Engage are teaming up for a co-headlining trek. As if that weren't enough, they'll be joined by thrash metal vets Testament and one of the hottest up-and-coming bands in metal -- Huntress. Loudwire and Noisecreep are teaming up with the bands to bring you a prize package featuring items from all four acts on the trek.
Unfortunate news has come out of the Killswitch Engage camp regarding the band's upcoming tour with Lamb of God. Killswitch drummer Justin Foley was involved in a bicycle accident which resulted in a broken collarbone. With Foley unable to perform due to the injury, As I Lay Dying drummer Jordan Mancino has been recruited to man the kit for Killswitch Engage's upcoming Asia / Europe tour.
