The 2012 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class will feature three bands that have helped shape rock music over the past 25 years -- Guns N' Roses, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Beastie Boys were all announced as inductees today (Dec. 7). The ceremony will take place April 14 at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum in Cleveland.
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Red Hot Chili Peppers are transformed into graphic novel characters in the visually arresting video for 'Monarchy of Roses,' the second single off the band's latest album 'I'm With You.' The vid, directed by Marc Klasfeld, is all black and white, with the only splash of color coming from the roses mentioned in the title, all of which fly around on the screen.
The 2011 MTV European Music Awards took place over the weekend in Northern Ireland at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast. Red Hot Chili Peppers, who were introduced by Evanescence frontwoman Amy Lee, performed their hit single ‘The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie’ off of their new album ‘I’m With You.'
Guns N' Roses have been nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in their first year of eligibility. Joining GN'R on the list of 2012 nominees are Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beastie Boys and other acts. The ceremony will take place April 14 at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum in Cleveland.
