Leave it to Kiss to bring four diverse rockers together for a new project. Guns N’ Roses guitarist Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal and Pantera and Kill Devil Hill bassist Rex Brown are just two of the members of the new all-star Kiss tribute band A.L.I.V.E.!. A.L.I.V.E.! also features former Whitesnake drummer Brian Tichy, and Kill Devil Hill guitarist Mark Zavon. The foursome are calling their new collaboration A.L.I.V.E.! a true tribute to ‘70s era Kiss.

Frontman Phil Anselmo is currently working on his memoir, but first fans will be able to look behind the curtain with bassist Rex Brown's autobiography, 'Official Truth, 101 Proof: The Inside Story of Pantera,' which arrives next month.
Down and former bassist Rex Brown reunited onstage Tuesday night (Sept. 18) for the first time since the musician exited the band last year. The veteran rocker and longtime cohort of Down singer Phil Anselmo dating back to the Pantera years, came out to perform during the encore songs of 'Stone the Crow' and 'Bury Me in Smoke' during the group's set in Dallas. As a teenager, Rex Brown cut his eye teeth as the bassist for Pantera. When the band broke up, he continued with vocalist Phil Anselmo in the group Down. Now, having left down because Anselmo was busy with too many projects, he is putting all of his efforts into Kill Devil Hill, his new band with ex-Black Sabbath drummer Vinny Appice, guitarist Mark Zavon and vocalist Dewey Bragg.
