After weeks of continuous media scrutiny, there is now a new pope as Buenos Aires Cardinal Jorge Bergogolio has taken the title, going under the moniker Pope Francis I.
Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian is a horror film fanatic and his love of the genre along with his celebrity status has resulted in several cool opportunities in recent years. In addition to appearing as a zombie in AMC's 'The Walking Dead,' Ian has taken things a step further by hosting the Fangoria series, 'Blood and Guts.'
Lord knows that many of the musicians taking part in this year's Revolver Golden Gods have done their fair share of interviews overs the years, but in the commercial for the 2013 ceremony, they get to experience life from the other side of the microphone in what amounts to the world's most metal press conference.
Anthrax are still going strong on their 'Worship Music' album and will soon offer a new collection called 'Anthems' that's full of cover songs, but the thoughts of a new album have begun to enter the minds of the band's members as well. Scott Ian is a man who wears many hats (and beards), but the legendary Anthrax guitarist's latest endeavor will be not a spoken-word tour, but a "Speaking Words" tour. As one of metal's most beloved musicians, Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian has taken his thrashing career to many different forms of entertainment. Ian has dabbled as a television personality for VH1's 'The Rock Show,' 'Supergroup' and various editions of the 'I Love the…' series, along with additional appearances on 'The Walking Dead' and in Brian Posehn's 'Metal By Numbers.' Having conquered those goals, Ian has now moved into a new form of entertainment, a one-man 'Speaking Words' tour.
