Fire is set to rain down from the sky on May 8, but there's no reason to run for cover. Overhead fire is actually a good thing for metalheads as it is the day that Massachusetts metal veterans Shadows Fall will release their Razor & Tie debut, titled 'Fire From the Sky.' What a metallic way to welcome in the spring.
In March 2012, Shadows Fall will release their seventh album, the follow-up to 2009's 'Retribution,' on the band's new label Razor & Tie. The as-yet-untitled disc was produced by Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz, who also worked on the band's 1998 full-length debut 'Somber Eyes to the Sky,' as well as discs by Unearth, Underoath, All that Remains, The Devil Wears Prada and others.
Indie label Razor & Tie is keeping busy this fall by continuing to expand their roster. We recently brought you news about the record company inking a deal with P.O.D. and now Massachusetts-based heavy metal band Shadows Fall are getting in on the action with a multi-album North American deal on the label.
Shadows Fall will spend October hitting the studio to record their next album. The Massachusetts metal mavens are reportedly eyeing an early 2012 release, and dreadlocked singer Brian Fair told us (and his Twitter followers) some details about the band's plans via a Tweet about the matter.
