Anthrax have not named a full-time replacement yet for exiting guitarist Rob Caggiano, but they will at least be covered for their upcoming tours. Hatebreed's new album, 'The Divinity of Purpose,' will be released Jan. 25 in Europe and Jan. 29 in the United States, and now the band has announced a headlining U.S. tour kicking off in late January.

Shadows Fall drummer Jason Bittner will be unable to perform at the 2012 PASIC (Percussive Arts Society International Convention) due to a diagnosis of acute pancreatitis. The band is currently on a short break from their headlining tour with God Forbid, Thy Will Be Done and Trumpet the Harlot, but Bittner assures fans that he will return to the road.

If the world does indeed end in December 2012, Shadows Fall plan on going out in style. They will launch the 'Party to the Apocalypse Tour' on Oct. 12 in Worcester, Mass., with supporting bands God Forbid, Thy Will Be Done and Trumpet The Harlot. Shadows Fall killed 'em all with 2000's 'Of One Blood,' establishing their thrashy, three-tiered vocal sound. But they polished, perfected and mastered it on 2002's 'The Art of Balance,' especially with 'Thoughts Without Words.'

Shadows Fall drummer Jason Bittner will once again take a seat behind the drum kit for Anthrax, something he has done multiple times over the years, making his face and his footwork a familiar site to 'Thrax fans. Bittner will be filling in for Anthrax rhythm keeper Charlie Benante for the first few weeks of this summer's Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival.
