Slipknot / Stone Sour vocalist Corey Taylor allows fans into his mind through his music and now through his book ‘Seven Deadly Sins.’ In an intimate performance at Highline Ballroom in New York City last night (Dec. 5), fans enjoyed a spoken word, Q&A and acoustic performance from the talented frontman.
He sounds a whole lot different with an acoustic guitar in his hand and no backing band than he does fronting the nine-headed beast Slipknot or the hard rock outfit Stone Sour, but regardless of environment he's in, Corey Taylor has presence and star power, as he proved on Oct. 22 at ZZ Top's La Grange Fest in Austin, Texas.
Corey Taylor has lined up a fall North America tour of intimate performances, appropriately dubbed 'An Evening With Corey Taylor.' Each stop on the 20-city solo trek with the Slipknot/Stone Sour singer will feature an acoustic set, a spoken word segment with readings from his 'Seven Deadly Sins' book and a Q&A session with the audience.
Over the weekend, Staind’s Aaron Lewis hosted his second annual ‘It Takes a Community’ two-night benefit concert in Northampton, Massachusetts. The shows were a call to arms to his brothers in rock to band together to help a worthy cause – reviving school systems and rural communities in the New England area.
