This year has seen the breakout of The Pretty Reckless in the rock world. The band has enjoyed their first chart-topping single, 'Heaven Knows,' and quite a bit of success for their 'Going to Hell' album. 'Loudwire Nights' host Full Metal Jackie had a chance to catch up with The Pretty Reckless' Taylor Momsen and guitarist Ben Phillips, and they spoke about the recent success, the formation of the group and finding their sound. Check out the interview below:
The Pretty Reckless
The Pretty Reckless are having one huge year thanks to their 'Going to Hell' album. And while the disc stands on its own musically, it doesn't hurt that frontwoman Taylor Momsen is baring her backside on the album's cover. In fact, Momsen recently spoke with Rolling Stone about posing nude for the cover and where the inspiration came from.
The Pretty Reckless is one of the hottest bands in rock at the moment, with their current single 'Heaven Knows' topping the rock charts for three straight weeks. In addition, the band's 'Going to Hell' album just debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard Album Chart. With 'Heaven Knows' starting to cross over to pop, Taylor Momsen and guitarist Ben Phillips recently dropped by PopCrush to perform an acoustic version of the track, which can be seen above.
Black Veil Brides could be on their way to the Cage Match Hall of Fame. The band's latest song 'We Don't Belong' just won the third of five matches needed to reach the vaunted goal. But they had a fight on their hands in the previous battle as We Butter the Bread With Butter's 'Meine Brille' gave them all they could handle. Can they keep the streak alive?
Disappointing news for those fans hoping to check out the return of the SnoCore Tour this year, as it has been called off just a couple of days before it was set to kick off. Unfortunately, Taylor Momsen, lead singer of headliners the Pretty Reckless, is battling walking pneumonia and acute laryngitis, forcing the band to pull out of the tour. As a result, the entire trek has been canceled.
