It's been 28 years since Van Halen released an album with David Lee Roth at the vocal helm, and 'Tattoo' is the first single from VH and DLR's reunion album, 'A Different Kind of Truth,' due out Feb. 7. It's worth a mention that this is not the first new VH song with DLR singing since 1984, as Diamond Dave laid down his voice on 'Me Wise Magic' in 1996 for the 'Greatest Hits' set and that song was a No. 1 radio hit.

The track listing for Van Halen's much anticipated 'A Different Kind of Truth,' the first album fronted by David Lee Roth in three decades, has leaked to the web. It was only a matter of time before song titles were revealed, given all the hoopla surrounding the album, due out Feb. 7. In the past few days, VH have shared details about their upcoming tour and album. It's starting to feel like we live on Planet Van Halen and that's never a bad thing.
This month will be a big one for Van Halen fans, as the band is expected to debut the leadoff single from its long-awaited new album and start selling tickets for its 2012 world tour. But for a few lucky spectators at New York's Cafe Wha?, the fun will begin this Thursday (Jan. 5), when the band takes the small club's stage for what's rumored to be a 45-minute, invitation-only warm-up set.
Van Halen surprised everyone on Dec. 26 with the news of their upcoming world tour and then a couple days later with news of their new album's Feb. 7 release date, but when you're one of the biggest bands in the world, stuff like this just doesn't happen overnight -- the plans have obviously been in the works for quite some time.
