Zakk Wylde was roasted last night (Jan. 20) at the first-ever Guitar World Roast and guess what? He survived, if a little singed. But was there ever any doubt that the guitarist would take it like a man? He may have been burnt to a crisp, but he still managed to hurl his own jokes at those who roasted him.
In a recent interview with Australian news website the AU Review, former Ozzy Osbourne and current Black Label Society guitarist / vocalist Zakk Wylde gave readers a rare look at his spiritual side. Guitar superhero Zakk Wylde has been transmogrified into a puppet in the new 'Question of the Episode' segment of a Foam Foolery cartoon. The cartoon borrows audio from the interviews that Revolver commissioned the always entertaining Wylde to do at the Metal Masters 2 clinic prior to the Big Four show in New York City earlier this year.
Zakk Wylde is a guitar deity. He's also a good sport, as he has agreed to be the roastee for Guitar World's first-ever Rock 'n' Roll Roast. Wylde will sit in the hot seat and be subjected to good-natured barbs from fellow rockers, like his former boss Ozzy Osbourne, as well as Anthrax's Scott Ian and Slipknot / Stone Sour vocalist Corey Taylor.
