The tattoo belongs to Black Veil Brides bassist Ashley Purdy. It’s scrawled across his stomach in old west text. While a lot of what you see here is makeup, the word is permanently etched on Purdy.

Black Veil Brides recently reigned supreme at the 2012 Revolver Golden Gods Awards. In addition to performing ‘I Wanna Rock’ with Dee Snider of Twisted Sister, guitar duo Jinxx and Jake Pitts snagged the award for ‘Best Guitarist.’

The band also recently debuted a new song called ‘Unbroken’ that can be found on the soundtrack ‘Avengers Assemble’ for the upcoming Disney movie ‘The Avengers.’

The band will be touring overseas for most of June, visit their website for all the dates.
