Bay area thrash metal was in full swing in Long Island, N.Y., at The Paramount, as Testament headlined a show featuring fellow thrash veterans Exodus and talented newcomers Shattered Sun.

With 30 years of music and 10 studio albums under their belts, Testament raised hell as they began their set with “Over the Wall.” They also unleashed favorites “Into the Pit,” “The Preacher” and “The New Order.”

To see the musicianship of Testament and their energy onstage is truly a sight to see for any old school and new school metal fan. The night came to an end as the crowd lost their minds to favorites “Practice What You Preach” and “Disciples of the Watch.”

Exodus gave an electrifying performance, and with the return of original frontman Steve “Zetro” Souza, the set was even more memorable. They kicked things off with “Black 13” and the title track from their latest disc, Blood In Blood Out. They performed another new song, “Salt the Wound” (a track that features a guest spot from Kirk Hammett on the album).

With vitality, Exodus performed crushing favorites “Bonded by Blood” and “The Toxic Waltz,” and fans went wild as the night ended with “Strike of the Beast.”

With the release of their brand new album Hope Within Hatred, Shattered Sun gave a high energy performance to kick off the night. Watch out for Shattered Sun as they have a big summer ahead of them as part of this year’s Mayhem Festival.
