It took a long time for the Black Keys to get the spotlight, but now that they're there, they're taking full advantage of it. The band's latest milestone will take place at the MTV Movie Awards.

The ceremony airs June 3 live from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, Calif., and the duo have signed on to perform their current hit single 'Gold on the Ceiling.' They join a performance lineup that already included alterna-rockers fun., rapper Wiz Khalifa and the evening's house DJ, Martin Solveig.

The MTV Movie Awards is just the latest coup for the duo, who have been turning up everywhere this year. They recently filmed an episode of the Travel Channel's 'No Reservations' with host Anthony Bourdain and have shot a cameo, in full ponytails, for the Comedy Central series 'Workaholics,' which kicks off a new season this week.

On the touring circuit, they're also in high demand. They were one of the headliners for Coachella 2012 and were just recently announced for the Austin City Limits festival in October. They're also on board to headline the inaugural Firefly Festival in Dover on July 20-22, New York's Catalpa Festival on July 28, Lollapalooza in Chicago on Aug. 3, and Montreal's Osheaga Festival on Aug. 5 before heading overseas for a number of European festival dates. The group will return to the U.S. in October for a brief West Coast swing before finishing out 2012 with tours of Australia and Europe.
