The Darkness are about to wrap up a month long tour run in San Francisco today (Feb. 21), marking the successful reunion of the Brit band, who are also hard at work on a new album.

It’s hard to forget that glorious ring of frontman Justin Hawkins signature falsetto, and great news – it’s alive and well. The band has called the reunion one about "getting back to what made the band work in the first place.” And if you’re wondering what that may be, well, according to Hawkins, “The main thing for us is to make sure that musically we turn the experience into something positive again.” Judging by the sold out crowds at the sweaty intimate gigs, mission accomplished.

The new album is due out later this year and the band recently debuted a new video for their first single ‘Nothin’s Gonna Stop Us,’ check it out here.

The band also made a glamtastic splash during this year’s Super Bowl when their classic tune ‘I Believe In A Thing Called Love’ was featured in a commercial for Samsung along with Justin Hawkins sporting a pink striped unitard – in other words, just an average day at the office for Hawkins.
