The Darkness frontman Justin Hawkins is on a mission to save the reputation of Justins everywhere. After Justin Bieber recently left his fans hanging at a meet-and-greet in San Diego, The Darkness decided to offer free tickets to the band’s April 10 San Diego gig exclusively for those who Bieber let down.

It’s no secret that Justin Bieber fans can be pretty… well, fanatical. Some even coughed up $2,000 for a VIP meet-and-greet with the pop superstar. But due to Bieber feeling “drained and unhappy,” the singer cancelled all backstage meetings with fans who payed the two grand. Even worse, those fans were reportedly unable to receive a refund without giving up their ticket to the show. So the VIP package holders were left to pose with a cardboard cutout of Justin Bieber instead of the performer himself.

In response to Bieber’s actions, The Darkness’ Justin Hawkins has extended a free concert ticket and meet-and-greet offer:

Classy move by The Darkness, don’t you think? The band will be spending the rest of April and some of May in the U.S. before heading back to the U.K. for some select gigs. For the band’s full list of tour dates, click here.
