The Osbournes’ Chihuahua Passes Away on Christmas Day

First, Black Sabbath's reunion pre-empted the family's planned Thanksgiving Day festivities. Then, on Christmas, Ozzy and his brood had to deal with the loss of their beloved Chihuahua, named Martin. The 14-year-old pooch passed on Dec. 25.

Ozzy's daughter Kelly Osbourne posted the news of the family pet's passing on Twitter, writing: "Today is a sad day in the Osbourne family house hold we lost R dog martin of 14 years. Devastated does not quite sum it up! #NotSoMerryXmas."

How sad. It's never easy to lose a four-legged love one. But to lose a furry member of the family on a holiday only heightens the pain.

America got to know Martin on the family's reality show 'The Osbournes,' which aired on MTV and made Ozzy an even bigger household name.

Meanwhile, Sharon Osbourne offered a Twitter update on another family dog today (Dec. 27): "Ozzy’s dog, Rocky, is recovering from a knee operation. @OfficialOzzy is very jealous ‘cos Rocky’s on pain killers every 4 hours."
