The Ramones – Rock Star Cameos on ‘The Simpsons’

The Ramones appeared in the fifth season of 'The Simpsons' within the episode entitled 'Rosebud.' An allusion to the iconic 1941 Orson Welles film 'Citizen Kane,' the Simpsons episode tackles Mr. Burns' struggles with getting older, as he searches for his beloved childhood teddy bear, Bobo.

As a special surprise at Mr. Burns' birthday party, the Ramones make a short appearance and sing a punk rock version of 'Happy Birthday,' with various insults thrown in for good measure. In an hilarious twist, Mr. Burns mistakenly orders Smithers to "have the Rolling Stones killed."
