Hats off to Three Days Grace! The band's single 'Painkiller' has been voted as the 2014 Rock Song of the Year in the 4th Annual Loudwire Music Awards.

For those who had any doubts about Matt Walst becoming the new vocalist for the band, 'Painkiller' definitely erased them as the song rocketed up the rock charts and laid the groundwork for a successful future with no drop off. The aggressive sounding rocker was just the first tease of a new album that will finally be paid off in 2015.

'Painkiller' did face some stiff competition as Linkin Park's collaboration with Daron Malakian on 'Rebellion' was in contention right up to the final day. Meanwhile, Islander's 'Coconut Dracula' also put up big numbers while finishing third in the voting.

Loudwire sends our congrats to Three Days Grace, winner of the 2014 Best Rock Song for 'Painkiller' in the 4th Annual Loudwire Music Awards. Catch them playing the track this year at these locations.
