A scary incident happened last night (Aug. 12) during Theory of a Deadman's show at the club First Avenue in Minneapolis. A large portion of the venue's ceiling came crashing to the floor, injuring three people.

According to ABC affiliate KSTP in Minneapolis, the fire department reported that a 30 foot by 30 foot section of the ceiling came crashing down over the balcony and sound booth around 10PM as Theory of a Deadman were performing. The band itself fled the stage and the 750 concertgoers were evacuated. Two of the three injured were taken to a local hospital, but none of the injuries are said to be life-threatening.

The collapse is said to be caused by a leaky pipe and perhaps accelerated by the vibrations coming from the band's instruments. Water apparently pooled above the ceiling causing it to crumble under the added weight.

Local band 3 Pill Morning, who were on hand as fans to catch Theory of a Deadman, caught a major portion of the collapse as it happened on video. You can hear TOAD playing their hit "B-tch Came Back" in the background. See their Instagram post below, as well as a news report from KSTP above.
