Fans who packed the Best Buy Theater in New York City over the weekend (June 2) got a massive treat as Tomahawk took the stage for a compelling show.

After teasing fans with a 20 minute wait, the supergroup graced the stage and rocked out. Frontman Mike Patton was mesmerizing and simply entertaining to watch onstage as he went back and forth from his keyboard contraption to grabbing the mic and taking center stage.

The band is currently touring in promotion of their latest studio album ‘Oddfellows’ and performed new songs such as the title track, ‘White Hats / Black Hats,’ ‘South Paw’ and the lead single ‘Stone Letter.’

Even though Patton’s energy has a hold on anyone who sees him live, Tomahawk as a whole are captivating to watch onstage -- whether it’s the eclectic riffs by guitarist Duane Denison, bass lines provided by Trevor Dunn or drum patterns by the very animated and skillful John Stanier.

Mosh pits were going and heads were banging to fan favorite and infectious tunes ‘Bird Song,’ ‘Rape This Day,’ ‘God Hates a Coward,’ ‘Laredo’ and many more.
