Top 20 Songs: Week of December 2-8, 2012

In this week’s edition of Loudwire’s Top 20 Countdown, Soundgarden take top spot with their single ‘Been Away Too Long,’ from their first record in 16 years titled ‘King Animal.’

Last week’s chart topper Shinedown and their latest single ‘Enemies’ move down to the No. 2 spot this week.

Slash’s new single ‘Standing in the Sun’ featuring Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators comes in at third this week, while Stone Sour take fourth place with their tune ‘Absolute Zero’ off of their new disc ‘House of Gold & Bones Part 1.’

Avenged Sevenfold round out the top five this week with their track ‘Carry On.’

Other songs on the list are In This Moment’s track ‘Blood’ and Three Days Grace ’Chalk Outline,’ as well as Volbeat’s latest single ‘Heaven Nor Hell.’

Young Guns make their return to the Top 20 list this week with their track ‘Bones.’
