Congratulations are in order this week, as Pop Evil have taken over the No. 1 spot with their latest single ‘Trenches.’ The band has pulled together a string of hits over the years, but this week they manage to knock off Alice in Chains to gain their first taste of the No. 1 position on the Loudwire Radio Top 20 Countdown.

Speaking of the aforementioned, Alice in Chains, ‘Stone’ drops back a notch this week to No. 2 on the chart after an impressive run at No. 1 over the past month. Pop Evil shouldn’t get too comfy in the top slot as Stone Temple Pilots, with their new singer Chester Bennington, are making a rapid ascent up the Loudwire Top 20 Countdown with the single ‘Out of Time.’ It holds steady at No. 3, but is definitely lying in wait.

Also within the Top 5, Five Finger Death Punch‘s latest track, ‘Lift Me Up,’ which features a guest turn by Rob Halford, holds strong at No. 4, while Nine Inch Nails‘ ‘Came Back Haunted’ leaps four big notches from No. 9 to No. 5. It should be noted that that jump was big enough to make it this weekend’s top climber on the charts.

On the downside, Stone Sour and Device take four-notch tumbles. Stone Sour’s ‘Do Me a Favor’ slips from No. 6 to No. 10, while Device’s ‘Vilify’ is grasping its likely final week of Top 20 glory falling from No. 16 to No. 20. The countdown also welcomes a pair of new tracks as All That Remains‘ ‘Asking Too Much’ and P.O.D.‘s ‘Beautiful’ debut back-to-back at No. 15 and No. 16 respectively.
