Top 20 Songs: Week of March 17-23, 2013

Young Guns-Halestorm
Mary Ouellette,

It’s time to turn it up and rock it out again with the Loudwire Radio Top 20 Countdown. Young Guns are laying claim to the No. 1 position on our countdown for a second consecutive week with ‘Bones,’ but there’s a battle brewing atop the charts. That’s because Halestorm‘s now knocking on the door to the top spot, moving up a notch to No. 2 this week with ‘Freak Like Me.’ That should make for some friendly competition as the two bands tour together this spring.

Also moving up and possibly priming themselves for No. 1 as well is Papa Roach‘s ‘Where Did the Angels Go,’ the new No. 3 song this week. Former No. 1 — Alice in Chains‘ ‘Hollow’ — slides back to No. 4 from No. 2, while Three Days Grace‘s ‘The High Road’ hangs tight for a second straight week at No. 5.

This week’s biggest climber is the Dave Grohl / Corey Taylor ‘Sound City’ collaboration, ‘From Can to Can’t.’ It jumps from No. 13 to No. 8. On the downside, Volbeat‘s ‘Heaven Nor Hell’ falls from No. 10 to No. 15. There’s also one new track on the countdown this week, as Pop Evil‘s ‘Trenches’ clears out Avenged Sevenfold‘s ‘Carry On’ and claims the No. 18 position.

Check out the full list of top 20 songs of this week’s countdown below and be sure to tune in and crank it up to rock out to Loudwire Radio this weekend. To find out where you can hear the countdown, click on the red button below.
