Top 20 Songs: Week of Sept. 22-28, 2013

Avenged Sevenfold
Charles Epting for Loudwire

It’s six weeks and counting for Avenged Sevenfold and their hit single ‘Hail to the King’ atop the Loudwire Radio Top 20, but will they make it seven(fold)? There’s beginning to be a little movement toward the top of the charts that suggests that they could have a fight on their hands for No. 1.

The longtime No. 2 and No. 3 songs swapped places this week, with Sick Puppies‘ ‘There’s No Going Back’ hopping up to No. 2 and potentially poised to end Avenged Sevenfold’s reign. Meanwhile, Pearl Jam‘s ‘Mind Your Manners’ appears to have peaked at No. 2, sliding back to No. 3 this week. Also swapping spots this week are the No. 4 and No. 5 songs, with Three Days Grace‘s ‘Misery Loves My Company’ jumping up a notch, while P.O.D.‘s ‘Beautiful’ rounds out the Top 5 at No. 5.

Elsewhere on the charts, Volbeat‘s ‘Lola Montez’ (moving from 18 to 14) and Pop Evil‘s ‘Deal With the Devil’ (climbing from 20 to 16) tie for the biggest climbers, each ascending four spots. Meanwhile, Stone Temple Pilots‘ ‘Out of Time’ takes the biggest tumble, falling from No. 9 to No. 15. We also welcome two new songs to the countdown as Asking Alexandria‘s ‘The Death of Me’ and Seether‘s ‘Seether’ claim the No. 19 and No. 20 spots this week.

You can tune in to hear the Top 13 songs on the chart, as well as some other choice selections on Loudwire Radio this weekend. To find out where you can hear the countdown, click on the red button below.
