If it’s not broke, don’t fix it. And it’s safe to say that the partnership of film director David Fincher with Nine Inch Nails and How to Destroy Angels mastermind Trent Reznor and his HTDA partner Atticus Ross is definitely not broken. Reznor and Ross have signed on to score their third movie for Fincher, ‘Gone Girl,’ which is expected in theaters later this year.

Reznor confirmed that he and Ross were once again working with Fincher as part of a string of Twitter messages in which he also confirmed his appearance with Queens of the Stone Age, Dave Grohl and Lindsey Buckingham at the Grammys, revealed that his Beats Music service had launched and that a new Nine Inch Nails remix EP called ‘Seed Eight‘ was now available exclusively at Beats Music. His tweet about working with Fincher can be seen below.

Reznor and Ross earned a Golden Globe and Academy Award for their score to 2010’s ‘The Social Network’ that Fincher directed. In 2011, they re-teamed with Fincher and received a Grammy award for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media for ‘The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.’

‘Gone Girl,’ which is based on the popular Gillian Flynn novel, is expected to hit theaters this fall with Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pink starring in the film.
