Trivium fans have turned the band’s new single ‘Black’ into pure gold, as the song earned five straight victories in our Cage Match. The band beat out Evanescence in yesterday’s fifth and final matchup to become the latest act to enter the Loudwire Cage Match Hall of Fame.

The new champs had a long road to victory, as they beat out Mastodon’s latest single ‘Dry Bone Valley’ then they moved on to take down Virginia rock band Hurt. Trivium also knocked out Flyleaf’s Lacey Sturm and the Tennessee rockers of 10 Years. In their last battle, they went head to head with Evanescence and came out on top.

A big congrats to the fans that voted and the guys of Trivium who are in great company with fellow Cage Match Hall of Famers My Darkest Days, Anthrax, X Japan, Falling in Reverse and RED. Trivium are currently on the road with In Flames, Veil of Maya and Kyng. For a full list of dates, go here.
