Trivium Perform Acoustic Iron Maiden Cover

Trivium offered up a rare treat for their fans by performing an Iron Maiden classic during an acoustic set for the Buzz Lounge at South Florida's  103.1 The Buzz radio station.

“We toured with this band in ’06, we just did a one off show with them in London. Probably, no they are the greatest heavy metal band of all time and this is the title track to their first album ‘Iron Maiden’ and this is the acoustic version of it,” says Trivium bassist Paolo Gregoletto.

“I don’t think anybody’s ever done an acoustic version of this song,” adds frontman Matt Heafy.

Trivium manage to take this face paced, screeching Iron Maiden song and slow it down by turning it into a somewhat of sultry ballad-like tune.

The band also performed an acoustic version of their single ‘Built to Fall’ and ‘Dying in Your Arms’ from their second album ‘Ascendancy.’ You can watch those performances at the 103.1 The Buzz website.
