It's time to get to know Vajra. This upstart band is weaving in haunting and hypnotic Eastern Indian themes with their melodic, progressive rock sounds and fans will soon get a chance to check them out at the Loudwire Music Festival. We're happy to team with Vajra to give you a taste of their music with this exclusive premiere of their "Inside the Flame" (Rapid Oxidation Mix) video.

The clip finds a mysterious female figure shrouded in black roaming a spooky forested area and appearing to be casting a spell. Check out the Jordan Stone-directed clip above. It's a fitting accompaniment to a song that starts off haunting, but builds in intensity, showcasing the vocals of band founder Annamaria Pinna and talents of bassist Kevin Jones, guitarist Dave Sussman and drummer John Keener.

Pinna tells Loudwire, “I thought this song was going to be the simplest song on the album, and it turned out to be the most complicated. It was like meditating a mandala, circling around and around, going deeper and deeper into a vortex to reveal the song's truth.”

She adds, “I suppose the song is kind of Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde, a paradoxical yin yang of emotions. We just hope that the listener will feel something. We are so excited to debut the song on Loudwire and can't wait to see everyone at the Festival!!”

Speaking of the Loudwire Music Festival, the buzz is growing on Vajra as the event nears. The band was recently named one of the "Must-See Acts" at the music weekend by Rolling Stone. They'll be playing on Friday, June 26 on a bill that also includes Weezer, Theory of a Deadman, In This Moment, One - The Only Tribute to Metallica, 3 Pill Morning, The Blackfires and Zamtrip.
