Van Halen kicked off their 2012 North American tour last night (Feb. 18) in Louisville, Ky. The band is out on the road in support of its new album 'A Different Kind of Truth,' their first studio disc with singer David Lee Roth in 28 years.

Our brother site Ultimate Classic Rock covered the show and gave it a 4.5 star review (out of 5 stars), praising DLR's voice and calling the entire band's performance passionate.

The band kicked off the night with their famous cover of the Kinks classic 'You Really Got Me,' and played a 22-song set that featured their greatest hits along with select tunes from the new disc 'A Different Kind of Truth.'
