It's time to hop in the "way back" machine, embracing an '80s classic but giving it a modern metal stamp. That's what Versus Me are doing, reimagining the primal Tears for Fears favorite "Shout" as a heavy, electrified rocker. Watch the performance-based video for the song exclusively premiering here at Loudwire in the player above.

"When we were deciding which song we wanted to cover, we knew that it had to be an anthem that everyone has heard before. We went through a ton of different ideas for song choices and finally made the decision with 'Shout,'" says singer James Milbrandt.

The vocalist continues, "We wanted to bring back a classic track while giving it a heavy, Versus Me feel to it. The theme of this song is also very relevant to what's happening in the world today, so it seemed like it was an obvious choice to do. We're not the first band to cover this song and we won't be the last, but this is our take on this classic song."

The track was produced by Josh Napert and mixed and mastered by Joel Wanasek, with the production team having a history of working with the band on all of their releases.

The Wisconsin metalcore outfit issued the single "Left Here" earlier this year and are following it up with "Shout." To keep up with all the band's activities, check out their Facebook and Instagram pages. If you like what you hear from "Shout," pick it up here.
