Happy almost New Year! But just because the calendar is about to turn and the last vestiges of the holiday will soon be packed away, it doesn't mean there's not some quality music still to arrive. January may be one of the lightest release months, but there are still enough quality offerings to see which one is the most anticipated by our readers.

The month of releases starts on Jan. 6, where Dropkick Murphys and Gone Is Gone lead the way with fresh albums. Grave DiggerSepultura and Shallow Side lead the release calendar on Jan. 13.

The week of Jan. 20 is the biggest of the month, with new discs from AFI, Starset and up-and-comers As Lions and Once Human leading the way. And finally, on Jan. 27, you can look for fresh releases from Kreator and Stephen Pearcy. See all of the new releases below and then let us know which one you most want to pick up.

The winning contender will be proclaimed Loudwire's Release of the Month for January 2017 and will be featured in a post on our site. You can vote once per hour through the deadline of Dec. 31 at 11:59PM ET.
