Warbeast are getting quite chummy with their Housecore Records boss Philip Anselmo. A few weeks back, Anselmo revealed that he would put a couple of solo songs out there to be issued as split releases with Warbeast ahead of his own debut solo effort next year. Now comes word that Warbeast will join his band Down on tour this fall.

The thrash metal outfit will hop on the tour beginning Sept. 18 in their hometown of Fort Worth, Texas, and will continue with the band and a rotating list of opening acts through the Oct. 2 finale in Charlotte.

“This is a huge opportunity for Warbeast. Not only are we thrilled to unleash our sound on Down’s enormous fanbase night after night, but we also get to witness Down performing some of their incredible new material live several times in a row,” states vocalist Bruce Corbitt. “We are seriously honored to be able to tour with a band that we are all fans of and actually friends with too. I have no doubts that this will be an unforgettable tour for those that are lucky enough to see it.”

Warbeast's most recent effort was 2010's 'Krush the Enemy,' but they have been working up to a new album. Down, meanwhile, are touring in support of their upcoming 'Down IV: Part 1 - The Purple EP.'
