Fresh off their recent 'War of the Gargantuas' split with their Housecore Records label chief Phil Anselmo, Warbeast are ready to deliver a new full-length disc for fans. The band began showing off some music from the 'Destroy' album during their recent trek with Down and have now confirmed an April 2 street date for the disc.

Warbeast recorded the album at Nodferatu's Lair last May and July, with Anselmo serving as producer on the disc. The impressive album art, designed by "Carcass" John Fossum with graphic and technical adviser John Deleon, can be seen at the left.

The thrash metal outfit will show off the new disc at an April 6 'Destroy' CD release show at The Rail Club in Fort Worth, Texas. However, when they do, the band will likely have a new bassist in place. The group revealed that their recent bassist Dre Karst has left the group due to his inability to keep up with the band's growing touring demands. Singer Bruce Corbitt explained, "We are saddened that Dre’ has to leave the band. But we will be the first to acknowledge that Dre’ did an amazing job while he was in Warbeast. He only had two weeks to prepare to record our upcoming full-length album 'Destroy.' He also kicked ass at all of the shows and on the three tours with Down. So please everyone … join us in giving Dre’ his props for what he accomplished in his time in Warbeast. THANKS SO MUCH DRE’!!! We will miss ya bro … thanks for being part of our family.”

Corbitt says the band is now on the hunt for their next bassist and requests that only serious musicians contact the band about their desire to join. Those interested can reach out to the singer at brucecorbitt@yahoo.com.
