Dutch metallers Within Temptation are heating things up with their new video for ‘Fire and Ice’ from their latest album ‘The Unforgiving.’

Within Temptation have created a visually stunning video, which depicts dramatic scenes of an alluring armored angel in distress. She then goes to a church to seek refuge. The new clip is much different than the videos for the band’s uptempo singles ‘Faster’ and ‘Sinead,’ but it complements the moving ballad ‘Fire and Ice’ with dark silhouettes of the angel as well as beautiful performance shots of the band.

Within Temptation are gearing up for a worldwide tour in 2012 in order to promote the new record and recently announced that axeman Robert Westerholt would not be joining them on tour in order to care for the three children that he shares with frontwoman Sharon den Adel. For the time being, longtime friend of the band Stefan Helleblad will step in as guitarist.

‘The Unforgiving’ is Within Temptation's fifth studio album, which was produced by Daniel Gibson and is based on a comic book plot by writer Steven O’Connell, whose resume lists Bloodrayne and Dark 48. The album has been topping music charts all across the board and sold about 12,000 copies in the U.S. during its first week of release.
