Congrats are in order for X Japan. It truly has been a magical year for the veteran rockers, who spent much of 2016 supporting the We Are X documentary. With the film now having played numerous festivals and enjoyed screenings across the country, the soundtrack just arrived to great acclaim.

The We Are X soundtrack hit No. 1 in nine countries on the iTunes chart, claimed the No. 1 spot on the U.K. Rock and Metal Chart and the Top 30 U.K. Albums Chart and also hit No. 3 on the U.K. Soundtrack chart.

Even though the film has enjoyed a solid run so far, there are still territories left to see it. The film is currently screening in theaters in Japan and will premiere in Taiwan on April 21. It will also screen in Prague in the Czech Republic later this month. Look for We Are X to premiere in Hong Kong in December and dates will be announced soon for screenings in Korea.

X Japan recently played their first show of the year on what was dubbed #XDAY at Wembley's SSE Arena in England following the release of the We Are X film in theaters across the U.K. The We Are X film will be issued on DVD and Blu-Ray on April 25 in the U.S. via Magnolia.
