Yoshiki, the multitalented leader and drummer of X Japan, recently stopped by Loudwire's studio to discuss the band's Oct. 11 gig at Madison Square Garden.

During the course of the conversation, we chatted about X Japan pioneering the visual kei movement, as well as the band's influence on other acts. Yoshiki also talked about the drummers who influenced him the most when he first started out.
