If you missed shredder Zakk Wylde being ripped to pieces at his very own Guitar World-sponsored roast, which took place at NAMM in Anaheim, Calif. on Jan. 19, don’t be bummed. You can enjoy Revolver TV’s footage from the event’s star-studded and bullet-belted red carpet. Here, the roasters and the roastee expressed their apprehension regarding what was about to take place that night.

Slipknot singer Corey Taylor admitted to being “terrified,” especially since all of his content for the roast was “X-rated” in nature. He summed up the concept of a roast beautifully, saying, “You talk about everybody…and their mother.” Zing! And to think this was just the red carpet banter and not the actual roast, which was brutal like one of Taylor’s screams or Wylde’s signature riffs.

The guest of honor himself said, “I look around and see all my friends and it makes me want to leave that much faster. I have no idea what they could be making fun of.”

Perhaps the most hilarious red carpet chat included in this footage is that which was conducted with Sharon Osbourne, the matriarch of metal. Ozzy‘s missus recalled one of her, uh, favorite memories of Wylde. She spoke about an on-stage stunt Wylde once pulled and it makes her husband’s dove-biting incident seem tame by comparison.

She revealed that Wylde, a self-proclaimed “good Catholic boy,” once grabbed a roll of toilet paper while onstage, did what you usually do with such an item and then put it in his mouth. That’s grosser than gross and not to mention TMI — too much information. We guess we should be glad we didn’t witness it firsthand or up close.
