After a 13-week run at No. 1 by 'Face to the Floor' on the active rock chart, Chevelle are unleashing the title track to ‘Hats Off to the Bull’ as their next single.

It’s understandable why Chevelle named their latest album after the new single. The tune ‘Hats Off to the Bull’ maintains a melodic charm while spewing out edginess, as frontman Pete Loeffler’s voice goes from soft harmonies to screeching vocals.

The song starts off with a low, heavy drum beat but changes pace with deeper bass lines, some serious hi-hat action. Vocally, it takes a turn when Loeffler sings, “Why can't I look up, out in the clearing / Tell me what's there below, end over end / While he's safe for the moment, guess what I'm learning / He's never safe from the crowd.”

The tune kicks into high gear with sharp guitar riffs as Loeffler belts out the chorus, “So hats off to the bull / No giving up / Either way, it makes ya mad / Well some of us / Hats off to the bull / keep giving all / What ya say we make amends.”

It won’t be a surprise if Chevelle’s latest single ‘Hats Off to the Bull’ follows the lead of ‘Face to the Floor’ by climbing right up to the top of the charts. The band is also set to kick off their headlining winter 2012 U.S. tour with Janus and Middle Class Rut -- go here for a full list of dates.
