Extreme Metal Olympics Group 2 Final
loading...

The Extreme Metal Olympics is soon coming to an end, with a total of 32 bands from around the world diminishing into only four in our Semi Finals. The winning bands from Group 1 and Group 2 will now go head-to-head in order to determine which band will advance to the Gold Medal Round.

After a grueling saga of international sonic battles, Death and Lamb of God were the two remaining bands in Group 1. The Loudwire readers cast their votes between the two bands, and Death emerged victorious.

Death are now one of the remaining four bands, and will duke it out with the Group 2 champions for a chance to compete for a gold medal. Group 2 came down to Brazilian thrash giants Sepultura and brutal death metal pioneers Cannibal Corpse. Much like out favorite zombie flicks, the dead rose to consume the living, as Cannibal Corpse has advanced as one of the final four bands.

The winner of this round will advance to the Gold Medal match, but don't worry, if your favorite band doesn't win, they'll still be able to capture glory in the Bronze Medal match. Which death metal band will represent America in the Gold Medal match? The choice belongs to you. Vote now!

Check out music from these two bands and vote for your favorite below!

(All Semi Finals polls will close on Friday, August 10, at 8AM ET. Fans are able to vote once per hour in every poll, so keep coming back to make sure your favorite band wins!)
