Fuel are coming back on the rock scene in 2014 in a big way with their upcoming album 'Puppet Strings,' due March 4. The effort will be their first disc with longtime frontman Brett Scallions in 10 years. To get a jump on promoting the album, the band has teamed with Loudwire to bring you the exclusive premiere of their new single, 'Soul To Preach To.'

With a driving guitar kicking off the song and some bluesy guitar noodling in the verses, 'Soul to Preach To' gives listeners plenty of range as Scallions handles both the melodic and harder edged moments of the track with aplomb.

Scallions says, "Lyrically, 'Soul to Preach To' is about regret. I think we all look upon our past when we get to a certain age and think that there may have been things we could have done differently in our lives. When we recorded the song we tracked everything for the most part but something seemed to still be missing. Luckily my friend Slash let me borrow a dobro and the melody in the verses was then written. At that point the song felt complete."

As for Fuel's current lineup, it consists of Scallions with guitarist Andy Andersson, former Shinedown bassist Brad Stewart and drummer Shannon Boone. The foursome will hit the road this spring and will tour throughout the year in support of the 'Puppet Strings' album. They kick off their run with a March 4 release date show at Los Angeles' Viper Room. At present, shows are being added to their spring tour, which currently wraps at the Rock on the Range Festival May 17 in Columbus, Ohio. Their current itinerary can be seen below the song preview.
