Jack White found himself offering apologies to The Black Keys, Meg White and others earlier this year, calling out the "sound bite, sensationalized" culture of the media these days in the process. Now, there's literally a sound bite that fans can hear, as White took a few more shots at multiple targets while onstage at Boston's Fenway Park Wednesday night (Sept. 17).

The rocker started off with some stage banter between songs, rambling about the amount of microphones onstage. "You know most performers don't use microphones anymore, you know," said White, calling out vocalists who use microphones that don't have chords on them or those who have special vocal effects placed on them. From there, he went on to address other things he doesn't care for about how music is performed these days, specifically calling out Foo Fighters.

"Then there's the Foo Fighters, a band right there that has a second guitar player playing the same parts I play back right here in case I make a mistake … We gotta do stuff like that nowadays," said White.

Update: Foo Fighters have responded to Jack White's diss with a simple Tweet:

Update No. 2: The publicist for both Jack White and Foo Fighters has issued the following statement:

Dear dream-makers of the media….

Last night Jack White made a joke on stage!

There was a minor equipment mishap, specifically with his guitar, and in an effort to keep his audience engaged, he made a joke! It was meant to be funny and self deprecating: “hey sorry, you’re stuck with just me up here...” vs the Foo Fighters who have three guitar players on stage and regularly play stadium shows.

Jack has the upmost respect for the Foo Fighters and communicated with Grohl this morning.

So if you’ll let us, we’ll all continue with our day and we assure you: All is well in the rock n roll world.

But White's rant wasn't done and he saved some humorously taunting barbs for Rolling Stone. The rocker mockingly taunted the publication, teasing that they were sponsoring his rant and calling out fake articles in the magazine.

"RollingStone.com, brought to you by the Kardashian family," teased White, before trumpeting, "15 Outfits That Will Blow Your Mind That Taylor Swift Wore This Month" and "12 Reasons Rolling Stone Won't Put a Black-And-White Cover on Your Magazine Unless You're Dead." He also pointed out that Rolling Stone's Jann Wenner also owns US Magazine, chiding that he was "keeping paparazzi alive for 20 years."

Realizing that he was going on a "Kanye West-esque" rant, White concluded, “So forget ISIS, forget the war in the Middle East, forget any problems at home, forget gay marriage, forget everything you ever thought about everything. This not a rant. This is just me saying, ‘Hello Cleveland!’ ... Yeah, baby! Brought to you by RollingStone.com.”
