Jamar Rogers, a 30-year-old singer who has lived a very hard life, is making a big comeback with his life on 'The Voice,' and he channeled his newfound energy into a rousing rendition of the Lenny Kravitz hard-rock hit 'Are You Gonna Go My Way.'

The New York-based singer has divulged that he is a recovering drug addict who has been HIV-positive for six years. Cee Lo Green, his coach on 'The Voice,' told him the song is representative of the positive path he has taken recently to overcome his past struggles.

Rogers came out blazing in his performance, which was extremely powerful right from the get-go. They didn't tone down the rock for the singing competition, as it was a full-on, guitar-driven rendition of the classic Kravitz song. Rogers, who was the last performer of the night, got the biggest ovation from the crowd all night.

Adam Levine said Rogers' performance "embodies" what 'The Voice' is all about. Cee Lo pumped up Rogers, asking him if he felt that energy from the crowd. Overall, it was a great reaction from both the coaches/judges and the audience.
