The lineup for the inaugural 2014 Louder Than Life Festival has just been announced, and it's quite the bill. The festival promises whisky and "gourmet man food," along with massive acts such as Judas Priest, Korn, Kid Rock, Five Finger Death Punch, Stone Temple Pilots, Volbeat, Mastodon, Papa Roach and many others.

Louder Than Life will be held Oct. 4-5 in Louisville, Ky. The fest will erect three stages filled with pinnacle acts while Louisville's finest local merchants will offer whisky, bourbon, gourmet food, craft beers and more!

“Louisville is known for a lot of things," begins festival creator Danny Wimmer. "But I don’t think people realize what a great rock town this is. When I first came to Louisville, I fell in love with the city, its diverse food, its bourbon and its culture. It screamed ‘Louder Than Life’ and I felt this was the perfect destination for this kind of rock festival. I’ve created the Louder Than Life festival to highlight and celebrate the ‘Culinary Capital of Bourbon Country.’ And of course, the culture of rock & roll and bourbon go hand in hand!”

Adds Volbeat frontman Michael Poulsen, “Louisville is a city we enjoy performing in and the fans always create a great atmosphere for a Volbeat show. We look forward to October. It will be a great time for all.”
