The Most Anticipated Rock + Metal Albums of 2025

Now that we're over a full quarter into the year, here are the most anticipated rock and metal albums of 2025.

The year has already produced standout records from Spiritbox, Dream Theater, Killswitch Engage, Architects, Paleface Swiss, Lacuna Coil, Ghost and more.

We have a couple of big releases coming up from groups such as Sleep Token and Volbeat, ensuring that the stream of must-hear records keep on coming.

Turnstile will also share their first full-length record since the highly-successful Glow On came out in 2021. Alice Cooper — the band, not the individual artist — just announced their first new record in over 50 years. Titled The Revenge of Alice Cooper, the album features all four surviving members of the group.

It can be tough to keep track of all the upcoming albums when new ones are announced so often, so we compiled a list of the most exciting rock and metal releases to look forward this year.
