New Supergroup Art of Anarchy Features Scott Weiland + Members of Disturbed and Guns N’ Roses
A new supergroup called Art of Anarchy has formed featuring members of some pretty high-profile bands. The outfit boasts a lineup that includes former Stone Temple Pilots / Velvet Revolver vocalist Scott Weiland, guitarist Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal (Guns N' Roses), bassist John Moyer (Disturbed), guitarist Jon Votta and drummer Vince Votta.
Check out the teaser above for song samples from their upcoming self-titled debut album, which was produced and engineered by Bumblefoot. It's set to be released this spring, with more details to come.
Bumblefoot and the twin Votta brothers have been friends for nearly two decades, and Jon Votta approached Bumblefoot about putting together a new band. Vince Votta came up with the Art of Anarchy band name based on the principles that it had to be extreme, uncompromising and make a bold statement. From there they brought aboard Weiland and Moyer.
2015 is shaping up to be a busy year for Scott Weiland. In addition to Art of Anarchy, the singer will also be releasing an album with his backing band the Wildabouts. 'Blaster' is set to be released March 31. Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts will also be embarking on a tour Feb. 22 in Scottsdale, Ariz.
