There is no band in the world quite like Opeth and there is definitely no band in the world like System of a Down. In our quest to find the greatest metal album released so far in the 21st century, these two heavyweights have advanced in March Metal Madness 2014 to face off in a massive Round 2 battle!

Opeth have released multiple albums which have defined metal in the 2000s. However, we chose 'Blackwater Park' to represent the band's presence and Opeth's fans voted the 2001 record past Between the Buried and Me's 'Colors' into Round 2 of March Metal Madness 2014. The coming-of-age album has been praised from beginning to end, and for very good reason.

System of a Down beat out Ghost to advance to Round 2 of March Metal Madness 2014, bringing 'Toxicity' one step closer to being named the greatest 21st century metal album released so far. 'Toxicity' was a cultural phenomenon, selling over 12 million copies on the back of 'Chop Suey!,' 'Aerials,' the album's title track, among several other standout tracks.

Opeth's 'Blackwater Park' or System of a Down's 'Toxicity'? Vote for your favorite 21st century album in the poll below!

(This poll will end on Sunday, March 16 at 11:59 PM ET. Fans are able to vote once per hour, so keep coming back to make sure your favorite album wins!)
