It’s been a long time coming but Skid Row are finally back with their ‘United World Rebellion: Chapter One’ EP, and Loudwire has an exclusive stream of the new release below.

Out today (April 16), the new EP not only marks the return of Skid Row after a seven year lapse, but also, as the name implies, is just the beginning of a series of EPs in the works.

As in albums past, the writing duo of bassist Rachel Bolan and guitarist Snake Sabo dug right into the creative process for the EP as if facing a new challenge. “We seem to be at our best when we're faced with adversity,” says Sabo. “It's us against the world again — and by us I mean the band and the fans who stick with us and carry the Skid Row torch without fail.”

According to the band, ‘United World Rebellion’ takes their youth gone wild and lights it on fire. It wasn’t necessarily about reinventing themselves, it was more about reintroducing the world to Skid Row, holding on firmly to their roots, and trying some new things. As Sabo explains, their methodology has not changed that much, “It's still about writing a great song with your friend, praying it connects with someone.”

Skid Row's new ‘United World Rebellion: Chapter One’ EP is available for purchase now.
