With s several albums under their belt, Taproot have kept going no matter what punches are thrown their way. They recently wrapped up a headlining trek to celebrate their first record ‘Gift’ and now they are embarking on a fall tour with Righteous Vendetta.
Every band has their own unique story of when they started out, it just so happens that Taproot’s story includes one very angry Fred Durst and a very helpful System of a Down. While the band was celebrating 13 years of their first major label debut ‘Gift’ with a gig in New York City, we got to speak with frontman Stephen Richards, who recollected the earlier days of Taproot.
Taproot took New York fans back to the band's beginning, as they performed their first album, ‘Gift,’ in the gloomy yet charming space that is the Studio at Webster Hall last night (July 2).
